HABITS THAT WILL MOULD YOU FOR YOUR BETTER FUTURE

So, what are your hobbies? That is a common question that we come across very frequently in our lives, but have anyone asked you, what are your daily habits? Are there any daily rituals that you follow?
No. First, you have to understand the difference between Hobbies and Habits, Hobbies are the daily activities that you do in your free time and the activities you enjoy to do, but the Habits are the daily rituals that you do knowingly or unknowingly.
When you want to achieve something then most people think about the result for example if anyone wants to get rich then they think of themselves in the situation when they’ll get rich, they don’t think of the struggle and the challenges they have to face during that journey. Similarly, if anyone wants to work on his fitness then he’ll think of the stage when he’ll get a six-pack or a lean body and not the struggle and hard work to achieve that goal.
On the contrary, if you are on a journey to change yourself and achieve those big goals you have to take small steps towards them and those steps slowly and gradually should turn out to be your daily habits and rituals.
James Clear has said in his best-selling book Atomic Habits that “When you fall in love with permit yourself the product, you don’t have to wait to give yourself permission to be happy. You can be satisfied anytime your system is running”
This means that if anyhow you don’t achieve the goal then you won’t get upset because you’ve focused on the journey, not the destination, this leads us to the famous saying that “If you can do something for free forever then that is the career you have to choose.”
As this goal-centric generation have the mentality to think only about the goals and if in the end, they don’t achieve it then they have anxiety, depression and whatnot. According to some researches in psychology, researchers have found that focusing directly on the goal is of no use, one has to work on the habits daily which takes them one step towards their goal. Goals are good for setting a direction, but habits are best for making progress.
Every action you take and every word you say is a vote for the type of person you wish to become. No single instance will transform your beliefs, but as the votes build up, so does the evidence of your new identity.
Choose your words wisely and take your actions accordingly.
